Cosmin Borza is a senior researcher with the “Sextil Puşcariu” Institute of Linguistics and Literary History of the Romanian Academy. His work deals mostly with twentieth- and twenty-first-century Romanian literature, Post-Communist East-Central European Culture, critical theory, and the relationships between literature and ideology. He is the author of two books of criticism (Marin Sorescu. Alone among the Canonical Writers – 2014 and Canonical Debate Today. The Case of Romanian Postwar Literature – 2016), co-author of the Chronological Dictionary of the Novel Translated into Romanian: 1990-2000 (2017), and has contributed a substantial number of entries to the second edition of the General Dictionary of Romanian Literature (I-IV, 2017). Currently, he works on a research project regarding the close relationship between the anti-communist and the anti-nationalist ideologies.
